Most of my domains are hosted with 123-reg. Their yearly renewal price for “.wales” and “.cymru” domains are £14.99 + VAT. Prices may vary with other companies.

Why Have Another Domain Name?

People have asked me “I have a domain name, why would I want another one”. One of the answers is that you will have a more memorable name. If you’re a plumber with “joebloggsplummer.wales”, isn’t it better just  to have “999.wales” (much more memorable in an emergency). You would also get the email of “help@999.wales”.

If you have B&B accommodation in Usk, why not have “usk.wales” and stand out from all the other local businesses? You could also build up a town website around your own business.

Of course, you current domain name and website can stay as it is, and just have the new site pointing to it (which is very easy to set up).
