Wine Shop or Bar? – Both!

Dylan travels the world to find quality wine, carefully sourced from committed producers with a love for their land. Our knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff are happy to chat about wine at any time.

We ran a restaurant in the centre of Dolgellau for twenty-five years before renovating the old Threshers to stunning new premises with a Cellar Shop, cafe and bar. We source wines from small dedicated producers across Europe, supplemented by other quality wines from around the globe. Our aim is simply to bring you interesting wines of great quality at the right price to drink here in our lovely new premises or to take away with you.

Cafe – Cool, Relaxed & Modern

During our opening hours, we serve light plates of food: delicious homemade soups, rarebit or cheese to go with the wines. Coffees, tea and hot chocolate are available throughout the day and night. We only take bookings for groups of eight or more.Dylan & Llinos

Dylan regularly appears on the Welsh TV magazine programme ‘Prynhawn Da’ and Welsh radio. Llinos writes regular blogs and articles. They have written a book about food and wine ‘Bwyd a Gwin’ which is also available in English as ‘Rarebit and Rioja’.

The Bar

Choose from up to sixteen wines, all kept in peak condition in our special Wine Pods. Have a glass or a flight of four tasters. Relax with a glass or a bottle in our bar or the beautiful glass extension.


Wander up to the first floor to the Presagio or Bossotti rooms to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet with a book and your drink. Or enjoy privacy with a group of friends. We host wine tastings in the Blasu room with its huge table seating up to 18. Alternatively, hire it for meetings or parties.
