Oriel Seren has been created by local artists who share a passion for quality hand-made arts and crafts. We provide an opportunity for locals and visitors to experience excellence in art and craft. We also offer Guest Artist exhibitions at the gallery. Do visit us to see all the beautiful work we have on show.
A Not-For-Profit Art & Craft Gallery
Oriel Seren is an Art & Craft Gallery exhibiting and selling work by professional artists and craftspeople. There is an emphasis on local artists and craftspeople but Oriel Seren also displays work by people from further afield including from other rural areas.
Oriel Seren is situated in a prime location on the main shopping street in the market town of Machynlleth, Powys, within the Dyfi Valley Biosphere area. The Gallery offers customers the chance to view and buy unique, handmade pieces of art and craftwork. Oriel Seren provides artists with a cost-effective, professional exhibition space and retail outlet.
The Artists’ page on our website gives details of the Featured and Taster artists who are displaying work in Oriel Seren throughout the year. Each month we will have a different Guest Artist (see Current Guest Artist page). For information on past exhibitors please view the Previous Guest Artists page.
March 2020 – We are delighted to welcome our Guest Artist, Jeanette Podesta who is showing her cleverly constructed Flowers made from fabric, ribbon and buttons, as well as cards, brooches, scented bags and Easter gifts.
Milly Mischief is run by Jeanette Podesta, a local artist whose work is inspired by her love of nature. She takes her inspiration from the countryside and creates a wide range of beautiful, high quality, handcrafted designs from fabric, buttons, ribbon, beads, card and paper. All her work is created with love, care and attention to detail which she truly believes create a lovely gift for that someone special.
Her unique handmade flowers are made from fabric, complete with colourful and coordinating buttons and ribbon leaves. They are arranged in glass and terracotta pot, each has a handcrafted gift card. Greetings cards, gift bags and notepads made from card and paper are all individually designed and appeal to all ages. Her flower brooches are made from felt, net and organza, many of which are combined into greetings cards which create a long-lasting gift.
